Blogging from the beach
Posted in Family, Random Thoughts and tagged with beach, mobile blogging, Twins on 11/08/2009 04:15 pm by MeganD is getting more bold than C these days. Twins are funny about little personality flips like that. We’re at the beach this afternoon, enjoying the 75 degree sunshine, and D shooed away a dog that got too close to his sand pit. C hid by me. The boys are always nervous around dogs, but D didn’t want that dog near his sand.
There are bunches of mermaid purses, and quite a few pieces of horseshoe crabs (C is using one as a shovel). Winter beaches are always interesting. The surfers are out, though the waves are nothing to brag about as usual. A few people on horseback, which you don’t see much of in Va Beach. C is a little nervous of the horses. I don’t blame him, my feelings about horses are well known. Apparently there’s a place at 27th Street now where you can rent a horse by the hour or half hour. Insert your own dirty joke here.
They’ve already got the Christmas light sculptures up, too. They’re mildly interesting at best, but driving down the boardwalk (normally not allowed) to see them at night is kind of fun.
Stopped at Dairy Queen at 17th on the boardwalk so the boys could have “banilla ice cream on the cone”. They proclaimed it m’num and are eating up. It’s a good day for adventure. And banilla ice cream.
