Husband is in Hawaii, my home state, on a job right now, and calling me up on his day off and telling me things like “I can’t decide if I should surf, snorkel at Hanauma Bay, or hike Diamond Head” all while I’m at home with the kids, just seeing the sun again after a week-long Nor’easter, doing laundry and cleaning the house. Though this is clearly grounds for divorce, or possibly homicide, I decided instead to not wash the dishes and look at the photos I took in Hawaii last December, when I went for two weeks on a fabulous child-free vacation (Husband was there too, working, at the time).
