Baby quilt

My kids’ teacher is pregnant with her first, so I’ve been working on a baby quilt for her. It’s finally done now, after I spent about a week not working on it at all. These things happen. So here it is. Made it up for the project based on a disappearing nine-patch. This is technically the first actual quilt I’ve made. I made a wall quilt for my mother at Christmas, but this one is larger. So… Anyway, it turned out pretty good I think. Made a few mistakes, but that happens. I made it work anyway. Heh. The quilting is diamonds and then a wave pattern around the edge. It’s currently in the wash on gentle cycle to wash off the stencilling for the wave pattern. Hopefully she’ll like it. The boys requested quilts for them next. I love the piecing and assembling and I even like doing the binding, but machine quilting is a big pain in the butt. I need a long-arm quilter, clearly. That’ll go over well with the husband haha.
