You know those shirts that say “Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult”? I’m pretty sure my disguise is about as transparent as Superman’s faux glasses. I’m pretty lazy, often flaky, and a haphazard housewife at best. I should be accomplishing a lot more than what I do. But I hate cleaning. And I don’t want to fold the laundry, AGAIN. Or do the dishes. There’s always so many more interesting things to do than the things I really ought to do.

I’ve made resolutions before to be more organized, procrastinate less, and generally do less bullshitting my way through life. But I never get around to doing any of that. I tell myself, tomorrow. Next week. Next month, I’ll get it done.

My ass is often saved by my ability to work well under the last-minute abject panic of a looming deadline. I have a few coming up on the horizon, so it’s time to drag my ass into gear and get some shit done. That’s right, bitches, I’m back on the case. See you at the Hippymom Fall Festival.
